See the world’s best cyclists in Hertfordshire this Friday

On Friday 24 May some of the best professional cyclists will race through Hertfordshire for the first time, as part of the world's greatest festival of cycling.

The Ford Ride London Classique is one of the world's leading professional women's bike races and stage one will be passing through Buntingford at around 11:45 on Friday 24th May.

The race will begin in Saffron Walden at 11am, before heading west and into Hertfordshire. The race will arrive in Barley at around 11:25 and also head through Barkway (11:30), Buckland (11:35), Buntingford (11:45), Great Hormead (11:50), Brent Pelham (11:55) and Pelham Gate (12:00) before returning to Essex. Rolling road closures come into place from 11:05 in Barkway, with no town impacted for longer than 45 minutes, with the latest roads in Hertfordshire reopening by 12:20.
