Buntingford High Street Improvement Notice

Starting Monday, 23rd September, significant improvement works will commence on Buntingford High Street. This project is a collaborative effort between Hertfordshire County Council, East Herts District Council, and Buntingford Town Council, aimed at enhancing the look and feel of our town centre.

Key improvements include:

Replacing missing bollards and repainting existing ones.
Refreshing railings and other street furniture with a fresh coat of paint.
Removing unnecessary poles and signage for a cleaner appearance.

In January, a second phase of work will begin, focusing on:

Replacing cracked and broken paving slabs.
Removing tarmac patches from previous repairs and installing new paving slabs.

All improvements are funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, dedicated to revitalizing our High Street. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to enhance our town!

Please note this work is not linked to phase two of the Active Travel Fund scheme, which is scheduled for public consultation in late September.
